And the answer is…

Former footballer Gary Lineker, who currently hosts BT Sport’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League, recently congratulated Ronaldo on equaling Messi’s record of eight hat-tricks in the competition.

Lineker was the first British player in the history of football to win the Golden Boot award at a FIFA World Cup. The Englishman is a well-known Barcelona supporter, having spent 3 seasons at the Camp Nou.

Yesterday he posted a 24-hour poll asking football fans to vote for who they think is the greatest: Messi or Ronaldo. Over 380,000 people voted…

As you can see, Messi won with 62% of the votes.
